Roan To Riches Mission Statement

​

The Roan To Riches (R2R) program is comprised of a Roan To Riches Stallion Service Sale and Roan To Riches Futurity. Roan To Riches is property of the American Roan Horse Association (ARHA). Its mission is to promote the breeding of roan horses of AQHA, APHA and ApHC bloodlines, and to offer a futurity showcase with increased earning potential for exhibitors and their roan horses.

Roan To Riches Futurity Conditions

ELIGIBILITY

1. ARHA registered Roan or Roan Bred Solid R2R nominated stallions, and their ARHA registered Roan and Roan Bred Solid offspring, regardless of age, are eligible to compete in the Roan To Riches Futurity for the designated nomination year.

2. The Roan To Riches designated nomination year is defined as the calendar year January 1 through December 31.  This will be the R2R Stallion Service Sale year and the year of Roan To Riches Futurity eligibility.

3. All Owners and Exhibitors must have a valid ARHA membership.

 

ENTRIES AND DEADLINES

 

1. The Entry/Slot Fees for Roan To Riches Futurity classes are as follows:

   • $250 per class/slot early entry (received prior to July 1)

   • $350 per class/slot late entry (received after July 1 through one day prior to the start of the ARHA World Championship Show)

   • ENTRIES CLOSE ONE DAY PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ARHA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

   • PAYMENT MUST BE INCLUDED WITH ENTRY

2. Proceeds from the sale of R2R breedings will be used as follows: 85% will go to R2R Futurity purse; 15% will be retained by ARHA to cover show administrative expenses.

3. All R2R Entry proceeds will be retained by ARHA for promotional and administrative expenses.

4. R2R Futurity will use the NSBA payout schedule through sixth place. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker judge will determine the final futurity class placing. 

5. The total R2R Futurity purse will be equally divided among the number of classes offered, and paid to R2R exhibitors.

 

CROSS ENTRIES

• Cross entry is permitted within eligibility guidelines WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTION :horses showing in an R2R longe line futurity class may NOT cross enter into any R2R under saddle futurity class.

 

TRANSFERS & SUBSTITUTIONS

• Entry slots are transferable within the designated nomination year, providing all entries meet R2R Futurity eligibility requirements.

 

DISQUALIFICATIONS

• Disqualifications will not be eligible for futurity class [SW1] payout.

PAYOUTS

• A W-9 form must be on file to receive payment.  Futurity winnings will be paid to exhibitors within 60 days of show. 

 

TIES

• In the event of a tie, a predetermined tie breaker judge will determine the final placing.

 

REFUNDS

• Roan To Riches Futurity entries will only be refunded with veterinary certification, dated no later than the first day of the ARHA World Championship Show.  Refunds will be mailed within 60 days of the end of the show.

 

CANCELLATION

• In the event of unforeseen cancellation by ARHA, all Roan To Riches Futurity entries will be refunded. All collected Roan To Riches purse money and prizes will be used in subsequent R2R Futurity years.
